  Nijah and her hardworking crew got passionate about the complex process of video editing. They carefully experimented with many editing programs, looking for the ideal balance between effectiveness and usefulness. They explored every avenue, including Video Star, Alight Motion, and After Effects, but none of these platforms fully matched their artistic vision. Their concept was given life by the serendipitous discovery of Capcut, which gave them the expressive canvas they so much wanted for their music video. Slowly but surely, they incorporated video from their first meeting, using YouTube to record the sound. They skillfully retrieved and synced the audio from their screen capture, which is a crucial step in coordinating sound and vision. Mindful of their audience, they diligently removed any explicit language, ensuring a polished, professional product. The next recording session proceeded triumphantly. This process of filming has been going very smoothly for the team. During the process of filming, the team wanted to make sure they included multiple things into their project. One thing would be their camera angles. The team made sure to get shots of Nijah and Callie from behind. Doing this created a two-person shot. The view of this two-person shot also made it an over the shoulder shot as well.  Another shot the team got of Nijah and Callie was a bird's eye angle. This shot was filmed by Imani and was done through a sunroof of a car. Some other angles that were used were medium close-up shots and a three-person shot.  The team originally did already have a three-person shot, but they are hoping to get a better angle of it. The next time the group films they hope to get more angles. They also hope to get either a pan or a tilt in it. With them going bowling, the angles that they want to film are endless.  For the group's first day of filming, they were very productive. Unfortunately, they did have to change locations due to Dania Pointes ice cream parlor being closed. So, the group relocated to another location in Fort Lauderdale. The team recorded outside of Softtea Dessert Bar, which had nice scenery and an empty parking lot that allowed them to record freely. The parking lot also had very good and natural lighting. Using the parking lot, the team was able to capture many different angles. Such as a two-person shot, birds eye angle, medium close up shot and more. During the recording at the parking lot, Callie and Nijah were the main focus. Imani and Adrian were behind the camera, making sure the music and the angles/shots were right. Then, the group went to Chick-fli-a to capture more shots. Chick-fli-a also had good natural lighting, as well as the restaurants lights. Going to Chick-fli-a allowed them to do their ice cream shots that they planned to do before. It also gave the

 The team has made much progress. They are now deciding what costumes they want to wear. As well as the scenery. These decisions were made very easily. Everyone was in agreement in making these decisions.  The costumes the team will be wearing is something casual.  As if they were going to school or going to hang out with their friends. Nothing that looks like they are going on a business trip, or they are just rolling out of bed. They came to an agreement that for their outfits they cannot have certain clothing items on. Such as flip-flops, clothes with negative words on them, nothing too short and more regulations. Outfits that are appropriate for everyday wear. For scenery, they chose a place with lots of lights and somewhere that's very clean. The team is very adamant on having good scenery.  This is why one of their main choices for location was Dania Pointe. It has a lot of light, and nice outdoor scenery. Nijah has been researching and planning with her team. Over the course of some weeks, her team has decided what they are filming, what they are filming, where they are filming, and how often they will record. Nijah's team has been in unison with decision making. This is allowing them to continue onto the next stages of their production.  The main thing that was discussed amongst her team was scheduling. Due to some of the group having outside interference, they had to compromise onto when to record. Such as Nijah and Imani working, as well as Nijah having practice on top of work. As well as Callie having an executive position in an afterschool club. Adrian having many classes to account for. There are many outside factors that could determine how often they could meet. Working around everyone schedule was not the easiest task, but eventually they got a system to work. Filming on Sundays are ideal for everyone. Sometimes Saturdays if needed, and weekdays with no school if needed as

  Hi! For our music video, we needed to create a plan which is why we created a story board. In scene 1, we will be recorded from the backseat… so you’ll be able to see the back of the driver and passengers head, singing the song two seater by Tyler the creator at 3:47. At that time the song goes “can you roll my window up”. In scene 2, at 3:53 they’re still arguing about the window being down and she says “because it’s windy” etc. still recorded from the same angle. In scene 3, then at 3:59 of the song he says “but I love when your hair blows” and the video will be shot from her passenger seat window. She’s smiling as they ride down the road. In scene 4, 4:05 it shows the same thing… her smiling and staring out of the window but it will be from a different angle. In scene 5, the group (Nijah, Callie, Imani) will be playing at the park while Adrian (Camera Man) records us. There will be no dialogue here only the song playing in the background.  Nijah is working with Imani Hart, Callie Brown, and Adrian Forbes. These people are Nijah's friends and classmates. She met these people at her school. She knows these people are reliable. Filming with her teammates will also be delightful because they are all fond of each other. They are all ready for this project. The reasons she's choosing to work with these 3 people are for simple reasons. These people are her friends and knowing them very well she knows they are very productive. They are also great with media terms and the understanding of them. Nijah believes having them on her team will have a great outcome, for her grade and her music video. Her other reason she chose to work with a team is because she knows that this project is very challenging and important. Having a team to work with will allow the load to be lighter for everyone.   Today is the first day of Nijah Sarduy’s blog for her new project. This blog is for her sixth period teacher, Ms.Marchionne. Nijah is taking this class because she believed it would be interesting, along with it being another aice credit under her belt. Nijah enjoys a variety of things such as dancing, sunsets, hanging out with her friends and sleeping. Things she doesn’t enjoy is broccoli, slow drivers, and obnoxious people. Her personal mission is to succeed in everything she does such as being a majorette, being class of 2025 vice president, being a student in school, and being a girl in everyday life.  Nijah also has a hidden love for watching movies her specific way.
