Planning Script


 Hello, bloggers when starting our initial production for our short film. My group decided how to split up work and catergoalically work depending on everyone’s schedules. Some of us have work often after school or activity’s that we partake in. By prioritizing convenient hours for each other we have schedules to work on Wednesday and Sundays.           

Initially one of our first discussion as a group was surrounded by making a title for a short film. Trying to come up with something witty but short. Creative and appealing, we had so much to think of names like; slumber in the knight, A night to never forget, The last Slumber. We all came up with different names but settled with ‘Slumber Ends’ 

The name is great for our short film because it revealed the part of the slumber party but also the huddle ending or demise of one of the characters. Making viewers more intrigued  before the short film even starts. 

During this time we also came up with character names and planned out actors for these roles. 

LAURA (17), - Natalie  

EMMA (17),- Nijah 

 TESSA (16), - Janiah 

JASMINE (17) - kylie 

BECCA (16),- Callie

These roles are not all precise and will likely be changed depending on who best suit the character, for now these are just fillers so we can read the lines from the script.

 The group filmed today again. It's always hard to plan but the group came together and finally figured it out. The group had to film the next part of their storyboard. The next piece of the project to record was the girl walking home with the man stalking her. Imani acted as the little girl and Adrian acted as the man stalking her. Callie spent a decent amount of time trying to get them to act right for the film. Act correctly as in get into actor mode, not regular person mode. Callie considers herself the director of the film. The rest of the group believes that she is crazy, but they digress. Callie was teaching Adrian and Imani how to act due to her being able to see how everything looks. She knew what to add and knew what to take out. She also told them how to add more emotion to their acting. The group took about an hour and thirty to film. Art of the Title Website

The websites that we will be researching for our title design are very helpful and valuable to the project. The first website that we used for our title design was "  Art of the Title ". This website showcased popular, award-winning movies. It also provided different designers and studios with different movies under their names and allow people to go through each movie and view the title designs. It also provides credits, presenting the different names and their jobs designing the movie. It also provides the music and artist. This website is really beneficial to our group because it gives us a guideline on how to create our own title designs. Another website is " Watch the Titles ". This website provides interviews of the designers who create the title designs. It provides different sections between featured films, student projects and more. This website provided our group block buster movies, and showed how to create an amazing title sequence.
