Group Blog

 As my second year in A-Level, I have changed some of my group members. Callie Brown is one teammate I had in AS Level, and we are continuing to work together in A Level. I think Callie is a good groupmate because I already know she's consistent and hard working. Working with her this year should be a breeze. She was a really good director in our previous project. I am very confident in her skills because we worked together before. I can guarantee that we will get our jobs done.

My new teammates are Janiah Charles and Natalie Obando. I feel pretty confident that both girls are going to be very hard working as well. Janiah had received the same grade as me last year, which is a C. I feel more confident in her knowing that she really did try and succeed. Janiah showed me her film from AS Level and I truly did enjoy it. The camera angles, the editing, the props, location, everything about it was very intentional and included conventions that made the story come together. Her film showed me she actually cares about her own work. It seems she will be a good addition to my team.

Natalie Obando is someone who worked in AS Level last year, but I haven't seen much of her work yet. I hope she is a good addition to the team because truly we don't need any people who slack off. However, I know Natalie outside of this course and I know how much she cares about her work as well. So hopefully she has the same drive as us. I think she will and this will allow us to create the best project we can ever have.

Production Blog: Filming

 The group filmed today again. It's always hard to plan but the group came together and finally figured it out. The group had to film the next part of their storyboard. The next piece of the project to record was the girl walking home with the man stalking her. Imani acted as the little girl and Adrian acted as the man stalking her. Callie spent a decent amount of time trying to get them to act right for the film. Act correctly as in get into actor mode, not regular person mode. Callie considers herself the director of the film. The rest of the group believes that she is crazy, but they digress. Callie was teaching Adrian and Imani how to act due to her being able to see how everything looks. She knew what to add and knew what to take out. She also told them how to add more emotion to their acting. The group took about an hour and thirty to film. Art of the Title Website

The websites that we will be researching for our title design are very helpful and valuable to the project. The first website that we used for our title design was "  Art of the Title ". This website showcased popular, award-winning movies. It also provided different designers and studios with different movies under their names and allow people to go through each movie and view the title designs. It also provides credits, presenting the different names and their jobs designing the movie. It also provides the music and artist. This website is really beneficial to our group because it gives us a guideline on how to create our own title designs. Another website is " Watch the Titles ". This website provides interviews of the designers who create the title designs. It provides different sections between featured films, student projects and more. This website provided our group block buster movies, and showed how to create an amazing title sequence.
