 The day of September 8th, Nijah was in her 6th period class with Ms.Marchionne. Her teacher explained the assignment and she thought about what she was going to do for her commercial. She was going to do a commercial about her interest in her everyday life, music, and movies. Nijah’s interest in her everyday  life’s consumes of band, and friends and family. Her interest in music is neo-soul, rhythm and blues, and rap. Her favorite artist would be Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean and Kali Uchis. Movies that interest her is Midsommar, and Coraline. All of these things influenced the pictures she chose. 


Nijah’s everyday life consisted of her going to band practice, driving to and from school, and spending time with her favorite people. These things influenced the different media she chose. For her first picture she chose a picture of herself at her schools 2022-2023 homecoming game. This game was what she spent so long at practice for, and at this game it allowed her to prove herself to herself and everyone around her. The second picture she chose was a picture of her with her dad, on her birthday. She enjoys spending quality time with the people she loves, especially for her birthday. The third picture she added was with all her friends at school. School allows her to spend time with people the people she loves. 

Music allows Nijah to get an creative outlet. Listening to her favorite artist that she has stated before gives her motivation to get throughout the day. Her favorite song to listen to by Tyler the Creator is OKAGA, CA. Its a love song about running away, she loves this song very much due to the meaning and the instrumentals. Her favorite song by Frank Ocean is Pyramids which is a long song with a story behind it. The story is about someone who loves another, but they don’t return the love back. Nijah’s favorite song by Kali Uchis is Speed, which is a song about a person who is moving too fast and needs to slow down. She loves the genres of these songs. 

Nijah doesn’t watch many movies, but the movies she does watch she watches them over and over. Not before researching about it though. The movie Midsommar is very interesting to her because its about a girl and her boyfriend being abducted by a cult, but in a manipulative way. Its a thriller, which she enjoys a lot. It has a lot of wide shots, showing full details in the movie. Coraline, although is a kids movie is another favorite movie of hers. This movie is another thriller, and is about a girl who dislikes her real life and gets abducted into a fantasy world. This movie has a lot of quick details in it, so during the first watch you won’t catch everything yet. 

Nijah is very excited to show her interest in her everyday life through pictures and videos.

 The group filmed today again. It's always hard to plan but the group came together and finally figured it out. The group had to film the next part of their storyboard. The next piece of the project to record was the girl walking home with the man stalking her. Imani acted as the little girl and Adrian acted as the man stalking her. Callie spent a decent amount of time trying to get them to act right for the film. Act correctly as in get into actor mode, not regular person mode. Callie considers herself the director of the film. The rest of the group believes that she is crazy, but they digress. Callie was teaching Adrian and Imani how to act due to her being able to see how everything looks. Art of the Title Website

The websites that we will be researching for our title design are very helpful and valuable to the project. The first website that we used for our title design was "  Art of the Title ". This website showcased popular, award-winning movies. It also provided different designers and studios with different movies under their names and allow people to go through each movie and view the title designs. It also provides credits, presenting the different names and their jobs designing the movie. It also provides the music and artist. This website is really beneficial to our group because it gives us a guideline on how to create our own title designs. Another website is " Watch the Titles ". This website provides interviews of the designers who create the title designs. It provides different sections between featured films, student projects and more. This website provided our group block buster movies, and showed how to create an amazing title sequence.
