Nijah's next task was to pick music for her commercial. She has a lot of favorite genres such as r&b, neo-soul, hip-hop, rap, and indie. It took her sometime time to narrow down her genres. She narrowed down to r&b and neo-soul for this commercial. R&b means rhythm and blues, Nijah enjoys this genre a lot because this is a genre she grew up on. It is very nostalgic for her. The next genre she chose is neo-soul, which is very similar to soul music, but with a modern-day twist on it.
Nijah's first song she chose was Pyramids by Frank Ocean. This falls under the genre of neo-soul. She is implementing this song into her commercial because she has a strong love for this song and artist. She takes the audio clip from YouTube. Then she adds the song to the background of her intro for her commercial. Nijah uses the cap cut app and her photos app for this process.
The next song Nijah chose was Speed by Kali Uchis. This song falls under the genre of both neo-soul and r&b music. She is adding this song to her commercial because of the vocals and the love of the artist. She takes another audio clip of this song, but this time she is using Spotify. Instead of using the version with words, she uses the instrumentals. Then she adds the song as a background audio for the pictures using cap cut.
Implementing these songs to the video will make it more interesting. In this whole process she uses the apps YouTube, Spotify, Photos App and CapCut.
